Northwest Washington Fair

Last Friday Conor and I headed west to spend a few days back home with our families.  Sunday was our 1st Anniversary and we wanted to celebrate by spending the afternoon at Friday Harbor.  I'll write another post about that day because it was so great it deserves it's own post :)

Monday was the first day of the Fair and I was glad that we got to go and experience the wonderfulness that is a bunch of Dutch people and Canadians wandering aimlessly around each other.  Is there anything greater?  Did I mention there's pouffertjes -little bundles of pancakey pillows coated with honey butter and powder sugar?  It's fantastic.

The Fair is also great for running into people you haven't seen in awhile.  Necia met up with us around 2:30 and spent the day walking around and watching the ever popular hypnotist show.  It will never get old!  We also got to see Megan and her husband Brian, Jazz and her boyfriend Tom, Lindsay, and Kalee with her boyfriend Jesse.  It felt good to see them all!

Yes, we are 5 years old :)

The kids

Dancing to Safety Dance (you need to check out that song!)

And what am I doing with my legs???

George and Martha.  They're looking pretty great for being almost 300 years old!

Beautiful Mt. Baker during the Demo Derby

We had tickets for the 7:00 Derby and had a blast enjoying the mayhem

Once home Mom realized we hadn't taken a family photo and decided we needed one before Andrew, Conor, and I took off in the morning to head back to Spokane.  This is our whole crew, Buckley and Jack included :)
